Maple  is a sweet, affectionate dog.

She loves to cuddle, play, get belly rubs, and ride in the car! She’s very smart and responsive to food. She’s learned sit, lie down, shake, sky (sitting up on her haunches) and she’s working on stay. She knows to wait to hear “release” before she approaches her meal. And she crosses her paws when she lies down to relax, which is so adorable!

 

Maple  is comfortable with and quite protective of her foster family, yet remains wary of strangers. She often reacts to other dogs and people by barking and pulling. She would benefit from someone firm and confident in their handling of her. She would love to live with someone who could spend a lot of time with her and also give her lots of exercise and playtime!
